Properties

Brief Description The chronology of 617 year long tree rings obtained from the Huon pine, in Tasmania, Australia, was used to measure atmospheric carbon-14 during the Younger Dryas.
This period ( approx. 13,000 to 11,600 cal yr BP) has a high level of importance in the study of climate, ocean circulation and carbon cycle.
Geographical Location southlimit=-41.6833; northlimit=-41.6832; eastlimit=145.3; westlimit=145.2; projection=WGS84
